Modi announce Janta Curfew and other speech highlights

In the wake of Coronavirus epidemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation to assure the citizens that all the necessary and preventive measures are being taken by the Government to fight with the dreadful disease. The PM appealed the citizens of India to stay indoors as much as possible, in ordered to not get affected by the virus.

Well, here are some of the highlights from what PM Modi has said:

1. The whole world is going through this very crucial phase of crisis at this time. Unlike the other natural crisis, which limits to a few countries or States, this one is something that put the entire human race in danger.

2. Do not take social distancing lightly. Stepping out of house might affect not only you, but others too. Do not make it worse for those who have to be out.

3. In the next few weeks, I look forward to your time, cooperation and discipline.

4. For a developing country like India, which has a huge population, coronavirus is a bigger challenge. People need to follow the advisories issued by the State and Central government.

5. On March 22, from 7 am to 9 pm, all countrymen will have to follow and take part in ‘Janta Curfew’. During this time, no one should go out of their homes, unless they are involved in providing essential services.

6. On the same day, at 5 pm on that day pl clap from your windows and appreciate people who have been working relentlessly during tough times (like medical care professionals, services, delivery etc)

7. In the past two months, Indian, and its population of 30 Cr, fought this pandemic together, but must not feel that we are safe from it and get complacent.

8. Humanity must win. India must win. Let us fight corona first and then worry of our economy.

As of Thursday, the number of Corona positive cases in India rose to 173 and 4 deaths were recorded. The Prime Minister has been taking to the social media regularly, urging public to prepare themselves, but not panic.
