The sought-after director Priyadarshan has recently announced the ambitious project titled Marakkar – Arabikadalinte Simham. This movie is said to be a historical film based on the life of Kunjali Marakkar, the naval chief of Zamorin of Kozhikode.
The megastar Mohanlal will handle the role of Marakkar. As per latest reports, his son Pranav, a promising actor will play guest role in the movie. However, and the confirmation regarding the matter is yet to come.
Aashirvad Cinemas, Confident Group and Moonshot Entertainment are jointly funding this big budget project. The script for the movie is jointly written by Priyadarshan and Ani Sasi, the son of legendary director IV Sasi. The shooting of the film will start in November 1.
