Mohanlal - Khaki is the color for him

After the role of a valiant commando in Keerthi Chakra, Mohanlal dons khaki for his Baba Kalyani, He plays a ramrod-straight IPS officer in Baba Kalyani, directed by Shaji Kailas.

The director is quick to clarify that it is not a cop's film, not an action packed film also. Baba Kalyani, head of an anti-terrorist wing, is on the lookout for the culprits who have hatched a deadly plot against the country. He reaches Kochi in pursuit of the criminals. Mohanlal unearths a mystery. Jagathy Sreekumar plays sub inspector Remanan.

It is a wholesome entertainer with Mamta Mohandas playing the heroine. Antony Perumbavoor produces the film with music by Alex Paul.

Expected for a release this Christmas is Baba Kalyani.
