Mohanlal had expressed his wish to meet the child artiste who shared screen space with him for his first shot in the movie 'Thiranottam'.Efforts were on to trace the whereabouts of this person. It is now known that the person is no more. His name is Ajay Balagopal and he passed away two years ago due to heart attack. He is survived by a wife named Shaila, who is currently working in Bangalore.
She is the granddaughter of the Chairman of Leela group, Krishnan Nair. Mohanlal's wish to see the child artiste of long ago will forever remain unfulfilled.
