Mohanlal's Aarattu gets a release date

The release date of director B Unnikrishnan’s next film with Mohanlal titled ‘Aarattu’ is out. Touted to be an all-out entertainer, movie will hit the bigscreens on August 12. Scripted by Udayakrishna, Aarattu revolves around the character named Aaraattu Gopan who travels from Neyyattinkara to Palakkad on a mission and what happens when he reaches there.
The film, which has been extensively shot in Palakkad following all Covid-19 protocols, has Shraddha Srinath in the female lead alongisde Gaadha, Nedumudi Venu, Swasika, Rachana Narayanankutty, Saikumar, Viajayraghavan, Nandu, Siddique, Ashwin Kkumar, Johny Antony, Malavika Menon and more as part of the cast.
The character Gopan’s car – a black Mercedes bearing the registration number 2255 – will also have a pivotal role in the movie.
