A day ago, the announcement of 'Drishyam 2' took social media by storm. On Thursday, much to the surprise of the audience, on the occasion of Mohanlal's birthday, the 'Drishyam' team dropped the teaser of the much-awaited sequel of their 2013 blockbuster.

'Drishyam', directed by Jeethu Joseph traced the struggle of Georgekutty and his family who were suspected to be responsible when an Inspector's son went missing. Going by the teaser, it looks like the sequel will be a continuation of thrilling events that happened after Mohanlal tried to cover up the murder.

Produced by Antony Perumbavoor, Drishyam also starred Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Kalabhavan Shajon, Asha Sarath, Siddique, Roshan Basheer and Neeraj Madhav in important roles. 'Drishyam' is the first Malayalam film to gross over Rs 50 crores and also inspired remakes in various Indian and foreign languages.
