Title - Mrugashira, Producers - Chennappa and Mohan Kumar, Direction - Srivatsa, Music - Ravi Basrur, Cinematography - Srinivas Ramaiah, Cast - Prajwal Devaraj, Manasa, Pannaghabharana, Tabla Nani, Krishna Mohan, Siddaraja Kalyankar, Sadhu Kokila and others.

Most of the newcomers heading megaphone err in making a convincing style although they go in for unconventional style. This director Srivatsa has the stuff but he fails in arranging it in convincing style. The narration pattern is the major blow of this film. A hero is projected as thief in the end. ‘Mrugashira’ set in the forest background is good in cinematography and one song is very melodious. How the stuff should be fed to the audience is definitely an art. It is not enough you have abundant of shots and scenes. How it is fed on silver screen counts a lot. The entry of unnecessary characters like Sadhu Kokila is a mismatch to the narration.

Prajwal with Pannagha and Tabla Nani reach the dense forest that is ruled by suspicious elements. The people of this Tobbettu forest area want the hidden Shiva Temple back. An astrologer enters the scene to create more confusion and commotion. Astrologer is in connivance with Prajwal. Both use the latest gadgets to trace the Shiva temple. The ulterior motive is the treasure in their mind. For this simple thread various characters and situations compel the audience to watch.

The hero you presume walks away with huge treasure in the end. The historical background is laced in the narration of this 129 minutes film ‘Mrugashira’. Prajwal Devaraj stolen the show from his action portions. Tabla Nani is rib tickler. Pannagabharana is OK, Krishna Mohan and Siddaraj Kalyankar rendered good support. Avinash is chilling in a small portion. Debutant Manasa has nothing much to deliver. Pade Pade...song is very melodious. Song for Ananthnag in the beginning is well delivered. Camera work is a feast to the eyes.
