Mukhesh Bhatt pooh-pooh's Asin

Bollywood director Mukhesh Bhatt has lectured South Indian actress Asin that she would do well to change her attitude. Apparently, Asin's rumoured trumpeting to her friends that her presence was indispensable in the success of Gajini (Hindi) and Ready (Hindi) has caused the Bhatt to criticize her. Asin, Mukhesh feels, should know that it was because these films had superstar presence (Gajini starred Aamir Khan, while Ready starred Salman Khan) that these films were hits and not because of her.

He has also advised the actress to prove herself in performance-oriented roles instead of gloating over the fact she has been cast as a beautiful pair opposite superstars. A reply from Asin is awaited.

Of course, Mukhesh does have a point if what is being attributed Asin is true. Though the actress has never been known for her airs, she has in the recent times developed a condescending attitude and seems to be looking down at regional cinema. With a patron like Salman, she might have bagged a film or two, but she would do well to remember that it is talent that matters at the end of the day, be it in Tollywood or Bollywood.
