Mullapudi's script of SRR to be released as book

Mullapudi Venkataramana's script of Sri Rama Rajyam will be released as a book on Feb. 24. It was during the making of SRR, that the celebrated writer passed away on Feb. 23 last year. Incidentally, the film will have completed its 100-day run tomorrow.

It may be remembered that the scripts of Iddaru Mitrulu, Bharya-Bhartalu and Velugu-Needalu by Mullapudi were also released in the past. The creative partnership of Bapu and Mullapudi started with Sakshi. Ever since, Bapu associated himself with the talented writer for all the subsequent films he made.

SRR, starring Balakrishna and Nayanatara in the roles of Rama and Sita, respectively, has been described by many as a ‘drushya kavyam.’ The magnum opus, however, did not see commercial success at the BO.
