Mumbai turns Bombay for 'Teri Meri Kahaani'

Recently Kunal Kohli revealed that how he has shown a different side of Mumbai (then Bombay) for the 60s setting of his 'Teri Meri Kahaani'. Well, for starters, he has ensured that trams would return on the Bombay roads. Not just that as even the flyover over the Marine Drive has been digitally erased from the film. Moreover only that Taj Mahal hotel is shown in the film that actually existed in the 60s.

Today there are two Taj Mahal hotels in Mumbai but back then there was only one. Hence all scenes featuring the hotel would be at the old location. Also, there would be Mumbaikars commuting in trams, informs our source, When Shahid and Priyanka shot for the film, they were truly zapped since they haven't seen Mumbai like this before. They were heard joking with Kunal that they had indeed been transported back in time, more so while shooting for the song 'Jabse Mere Dil Ko Uff' which is set in the bygone era and presents Mumbai like never before.

Says Kunal, Yes, Shahid and Priyanka were indeed quite excited to see that side of Bombay because they were born much after trams had vanished from the scene of Bombay.

With music by Sajid-Wajid, 'Teri Meri Kahaani' releases all over on 22nd June.
