Munna Bhai ahead of Dabangg & Golmaal in sequel race

Everyone wants to make a sequel. It’s the new in-thing in Bollywood. But not all these sequels work.

In a survey taken by Ormax Media and Research Company, the Munna Bhai Series was the biggest franchise over all at a value of 500 cr, which is a huge amount

The Munna Bhai franchise raced ahead leaving behind ‘Daabang’ and ‘Golmaal’ among others. Munna Bhai scored a whopping 69% whereas all the other movies running for the league were below 65%.

The two Munna Bhai franchise movies, ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ and ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’ have touched a lot of hearts. The first Munnabhai movie unmasked the system at the hands of a lovable scoundrel, a character who endeared himself to all.

The second Munnabhai film took on the problems that affect the common man and showed them a unique way to triumph over these.

The third film in the Munnabhai franchise, is titled ‘Munna Bhai Chale Dilli’ which will be directed by Subhash Kapoor. Since the news of the film going on floors has been announced a lot of brands have got in touch with the production house who are keen to associate with the film. The film has also been a hot target for a lot of presenters.
