Popular Tamil music director joins BJP

The ruling BJP party and its leaders Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are keen on making inroads in South India especially Tamil Nadu where they have not been faring well for a long time. Efforts are on to pull in Kollywood stars to boost up the cadres and already celebrities such as Radha Ravi, Gangai Amaran, Gayarthri Raghuram, Namitha and Ponnambalam are members.

The latest Kollywood celebrity to join the BJP is veteran music composer Bharadwaj who was inducted by TN leader Pon Radhakrishnan in the presence of Gangai Amaran today. Bharadwaj is famous for his songs in Ajith's 'Amarkalam', Vikram's 'Gemini' and Kamal Haasan's 'Vasool Raja MBBS' among other films.
