Shriya Saran’s ‘Musical School’ with Ilaiyaraaja comes to the cinemas on this date!

"Music School" is an upcoming musical film starring Shriya Saran and Prakash Raj with music scored by Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja. The multilingual movie is directed by Papa Rao Biyyala and produced by Yamini Films. PVR is releasing the film all over Tamil Nadu. The film, which is entirely based on music, is slated to hit the screens on May 12, and the press meet of the film was held yesterday.

At the event, Actress Shreya Charan said, "Very happy to come to Chennai. I remember many sweet moments from shooting in Chennai. Director Papa Rao Biyyala has a very sweet personality. Shooting for this film was like going home for me. I had great parents and I was able to do whatever I set my mind to. Many of my relatives had to struggle a lot to get out of the house. So when I heard this story, I could understand it. This is definitely a story that needs to be told. The director has brought it to the screen in a very good manner. Ilayaraja's music is mesmerizing. His music takes you to another world. I have seen Sharman Joshi acting in another shoot in Mumbai. Acting with him was a great experience. Everyone has worked very hard on this film. The film turned out well. Thank you all for your support."

Director Papa Rao Biyyala said, "In this era, students are always writing exams and some are forced to commit suicide under pressure. It was never like this in my time. I am very much involved in sports after graduation. I was very happy as a child. The story of this film is very serious. When talking about the pressure on students these days, it seemed like we could talk about it musically. After deciding to cast Shreya Saran as the music teacher and Sharman Joshi as the dance master, I went to New York and researched music. When I think of music in this film, only Ilayaraja came to mind. My friend took me to him. I had a lot of doubts about music before meeting him. But he said, 'Come on. We can do it.' After that, everything is magic. His music will take you to another dimension in this film. Shreya Charan, Sharman Joshi, Sham and Prakash Raj, and Leela Samson are all very talented actors. They have given an amazing performance. Child stars have also given good performances. This movie will be a good work that will affect your mind. Thanks to everyone."

Actress Leela Samson said, "In most of the films, they make my character die. Glad this film doesn't have that. Prakash Raj sir has acted as my son in this film. He played my husband in OK Kanmani and my son in this. Men are always young in Indian cinema, but we are getting older. This story is a story about a very important problem. I have seen this problem in my relatives. I am happy to be in this film. Everyone will celebrate Ilayaraja's music in this film. Thanks to everyone."

Kathiravan spoke on behalf of BVR Pictures, "We are releasing this movie on behalf of BVR Pictures. Great movie, thank you for your support." Produced by Yamini Films, this multilingual film is shot in Hindi and Telugu and dubbed in Tamil. The film is slated to be released on 12 May 2023.

The film stars Shreya Saran, Sharman Joshi, Shaam and Prakash Raj along with debutants Osu Barua and Gracey Goswami in pivotal roles. They are joined by other actors from Music School Benjamin Gilani, Suhasini Mule, Mona Ambekankar, Leela Samson, Bux Bhargava, Vinay Verma, Srikanth Iyengar, Waqar Sheikh, Fani Aghior and many other child stars.
