Legendary musician who gave first opportunity for AR Rahman passes away!

Popular Malayalam music director MK Arjunan passed away. The 87 year old, who began his career with the movie Karutha Pournami has worked in more than 200 movies and has composed more than 3500 songs, besides working in stage plays.

MK Arjunan's combination with lyricist Sreekumaran Thambi has been one of the most successful and celebrated combos of Malayalam cinema industry. MK Arjunan was awarded the Kerala State award in 2017 for the movie Bayanakam.

It must be noted that MK Arjunan was the first person who gave opportunity to play keyboard for Oscar winning legend AR Rahman. In 2017, AR Rahman had arrived from the US to attend Arjunan's birthday celebration. Due to age related ailments, the legendary musician, fondly called Arjunan master passed away at his home today.
