Amala Paul has received unanimous praise for her bold depiction of Kamini in the just-released 'Aame', directed by Rathnakumar. Her nude scenes have been very innovatively shot, never giving space for titillation.

Amala Paul, who divorced director AL Vijay in 2016, has revealed that she is seeing someone. She said that once she listened to the script of 'Aame', she told him the story. Her boyfriend was the one who encouraged her to give her 100%, physically and mentally.

Amala Paul added that she owes it to her love for the person she has become and the way she looks at her work, and said his true love healed her, and that he has sacrificed everything for her to help her find herself.
