Director Mysskin had last directed the movie Psycho starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Aditi Rao Hydari, Nithya Menen and Rajkumar, and had next started directing Thupparivaalan 2 with Vishal and Prasanna, but the project has faced an unexpected trouble.

Due to conflicts between Vishal and Mysskin, the movie's shoot has been stopped with the first schedule, and Vishal himself might direct the remaining portions. Recently, there were reports that Mysskin had narrated a story to Simbu and that they might collaborate soon.

The latest speculation making the rounds is that this movie with Simbu might also have comedian Vadivelu in an important role. While an official clarification on these speculations is yet to arrive, it must be noted that Simbu and Vadivelu have acted together earlier in Kovil.
