Rana Daggubati's Naa Istam has been awarded U/A by the Censor Board. The film is slated to release on March 23.

The film stars Genelia in the role of female lead. Directed by Prakash Tholeti, the film is produced by Paruchuri Kiriti. He says, The story revolves around a youth who always concerns himself with thinking about himself. His thinking is altered by a girl. The film is about how he undergoes the transformation because of the girl. The scenes between Rana and Genelia will attract the youngsters.

Tholeti says that Chakri's 7 songs will turn out to be the biggest hits of 2012. Kunal Ganjwal, Adnan Sami, Mamata Sharma, KK, Shan and others have rendered the songs. He has filmed an item song on the lines of his guru Sukumar's style. He says that they are hoping for a big hit.

Also starring Brahmanandam, Harshavardhan, Nassar, Raghubabu, Ahuthi Prasad, Ali, Bharath, Uttej and others, this film has cinematography by Venkat Prasad. Editing is by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. Written by Kona Venkat, it has fights by Ram-Lakshman. Tholeti has written the story, screenplay and dialogues himself.
