Ram Charan's fans need not be disappointed thinking that Naayak will not hit the screens in January, 2013. VV Vinayak himself has officially stated that efforts are on to release the film on Jan 9.

He also revealed to a Telugu daily that the idea of remixing Shubaleka rasukunna.. song from Kondaveeti Donga was suggested by JC Diwakar Reddy's son, Pawan.

He praised Cherry for being a no-nonsense guy. Drawing comparisons between the natures of Cherry and Chiru, he said that while the father would get angry at times, the son is completely calm.
