When asked who the hero of Kuberaa is, most would instantly say Dhanush. However, veteran actor Nagarjuna has stirred controversy with his bold statement in a recent interview: "I am the hero of Kuberaa. The entire story is built around my character, Deepak. From start to finish, it is Deepak who drives the narrative."

This declaration has surprised many, especially Dhanush fans, who strongly believe that the film showcases Dhanush's powerful performance. Kubeara, directed by Shekhar Kammula and featuring Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nagarjuna, was released yesterday to positive reviews. With music by Devi Sri Prasad, the film has resonated particularly well with Telugu audiences, reportedly earning more in Telugu-speaking regions than in Tamil Nadu. Many credit Nagarjuna’s impactful character for this strong reception.

However, Nagarjuna’s claim has not gone down well with everyone. Tamil critics have praised Dhanush’s intense performance, with some even predicting another National Award for him. In this context, Nagarjuna's statement has ignited debates online, with fans questioning the timing and intent behind his remarks.

Some Dhanush supporters are even wondering if Nagarjuna will maintain the same stance after the release of Coolie, another highly anticipated Dhanush film. As discussions heat up, Kuberaa continues to dominate conversations across both industries.
