Nakkeeran Gopal arrested for defaming TN Governor

In a shocking news, Nakkeeran Gopal, a well-renowned journalist and a publisher has been arrested by the Chennai police. The arrest reportedly comes after his alleged defamation of Governor Banwarilal Purohit in his articles.

His magazine featured Nirmala Devi, an accused in Madurai Kamaraj sex scandal case along with Purohit. The magazine also stated multiple visits of Nirmala Devi to Raj Bhavan. The journalist was arrested at the airport while on his way to an event in Pune. An IFC under IPC section 124 has been filed on Nakkeeran Gopal.
