Namitha joins BJP after quitting AIADMK

When Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha was alive, Namitha joined the ADMK party in her presence and campaigned in the 2016 general elections. On Saturday, in a sudden move, the actress quit the ruling party and joined the BJP in the presence of the National Working President JP Nadda.
Namitha, after a few successful films in Telugu, made her Tamil debut opposite Vijayakanth in a 2004 movie. After shooting to fame, she went on to be cast opposite the likes of Thalapathy Vijay, Ajith, etc.
After a long hiatus, the crowd favorite actress came back in the limelight as a contestant of Bigg Boss-Tamil.
