Namitha was no star actress ever. She has not been a performer like Nithya Menen. Despite that, her popularity is as huge as a star heroine's. It goes without saying that Namitha's oomph factor is the reason behind that.
Given her popularity, it's not surprising that she is set to take a plunge into politics. Back in 2015 Namitha said that several parties in Tamil Nadu had been inviting her to join their party. Looks like the dashing damsel has taken a call, finally. If reports are to be believed, Namitha is willing to join AIADMK. She has already written a letter to J Jayalalitha, the hon'ble CM of TN, expressing her interest in joining the party.
Namitha was in news last year when she lost 18 kilos after joining a beauty clinic. She even said on an occasion that she had been in depression, which is why she ate more to feel good; as a result, she put on a lot of weight.
