As we had reported earlier, Udhayanidhi Stalin will be acting in the Tamil remake of critically acclaimed Malayalam blockbuster 'Maheshinte Prathikaram'. The remake will be directed by Priyadarshan.

In a recent interview Priyadarshan has said that he is working on giving changes to the original script in order to suit Tamil sensibilities. He also said he has not finalized anyone in the star cast except Udhayanidhi Stalin and M.S.Bhaskar.

However for the heroine, his first choice is Namithra Pramod and talks have been initiated with the young actress.

Namitha is a popular Malayalam actress who has acted in many films including 'Traffic', 'Puthiya Theerangal', 'Vikramadithya' and 'Amar Akbar Antony' among others. If she signs for the Udhayanidhi film it will mark her Tamil debut.
