Nandita Das finds fault with Dasari

Actress-director cum-activist Nandita Das found fault with Dasari Narayana Rao's lamentations regarding the apathy displayed by Chidren's Film Society of India. Dasari had, during the inaugural ceremony of the Children's Film Festival, like a soapbox orator, criticised the Society for not setting up an office in Hyderabad though a land has been cut out for it.

Not categorically taking snipes at the Dasari speech, Nandita only said that changes have been made by the Society in the past 8 months. What he commented was wrong... I tried to explain the same to him, Nandita told mediapersons yesterday.

She also made her displeasure known about highlighting the gaffes in the Festival, advising the media to write about good aspects of the fest. Nandita took the opportunity to explain that the children participating in the screening of films were enamoured by the learning they were getting from watching many features and short movies.
