Nani vs D Suresh Babu: Who is right, who is wrong?

Actor Nani's most recent speech has hit the right notes for many. Speaking at a film event, the 'Shyam Singha Roy' actor said that theatres are among the safest places during this pandemic. Why does Nani think so? He feels that the audience can stay masked up throughout the period of their stay within the four walls of a cinema hall. This is not true when it comes to restaurants and pubs, where we have no choice but to de-mask.

Actually, Nani has a point. It's said that no theatre anywhere in the world has been a super-spreader, at least till the first wave of the coronavirus. Religious gatherings, fairs, crowded public places, buzzing shopping malls, and high-profile festivals have been super-spreaders in different parts of the world. However, cinema halls have remained untouched by the blemish so far. It could be because most of the audience strictly mask up inside theatres. Or, it could be because of some other scientific reason pertaining to the behaviour of the virus.
