Nara Lokesh Launches Whatsapp Governance In Andhra Pradesh

Nara Lokesh launched WhatsApp services in Andhra Pradesh, as part of promoting WhatsApp governance. He said that steps will be taken to ensure that all government certificates are available to the people through WhatsApp from now on.

On this occasion, Minister Lokesh released the number for WhatsApp services. He announced the number 9552300009 for WhatsApp governance . For the first time in the country, the AP government will provide civil services through WhatsApp governance.

In the first phase, 161 services will be provided through WhatsApp. In this first phase, services in the Endowment, Electricity Department, RTC, Revenue, Anna Canteen, CMRF and Municipal departments will be provided.

The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to end the practice of people running around government offices for certificates. The CM has ordered to provide forensic and cyber security to prevent citizens' information from falling into the hands of cybercriminals. The government signed an agreement with Meta on October 22, 2024, to provide citizen services through WhatsApp. As per this agreement, the state government is now bringing WhatsApp Governance.

The government has decided to provide services such as darshan tickets, room bookings and donations in famous temples in the endowment department. The Revenue department will issue state land records and other important certificates for applications. The Municipal department has decided to issue property tax payments, birth and death certificates, and trade licenses.

In other departments, the facility has been provided for payments of utility bills, electricity bills and other services through the WhatsApp payment system.
