Nataraja theatre closed

The popular 49 theatres old Nataraja Theatre at Seshadripuram closes its shutters. This theatre was famous for Tamil films. This theatre closes after nearby Swasthik, Central and Kino closing its shutters. As a matter of fact all the four theatres were screening Tamil films in the busiest locality.
The lease period has come to an end and the old building is not fit for further continuation is the opinion of owner of the land and building Mr JC Vishveshwar.
This Nataraja theatre was evolved in 1970 and it was second biggest theatre of 1100 seating capacity. The first one was Kapali theatre that was demolished recently.
This 1900 square feet theatre is now divided in to three parts. The front and back portion belongs to Vishveshwar and the central part of the theatre belongs to his father and he wants to retain it.
Nataraja theatre management is sending 40 of its employees – projectors, screen, seats, and sound system have been sold.
The original land owner is J Chinnappa that later got divided in to three sons. The estimated cost of this land is Rs.40 crores.
The land and building of Nataraja theatre is in dispute. No intention of selling this property says Veerabhadra Prasanna closets of this property.
