Actress Nayanthara, often referred to as the "Lady Superstar" of South Indian cinema, is reportedly in talks to receive a career-high salary for an upcoming Telugu film opposite megastar Chiranjeevi.
In the Tamil film industry, Nayanthara has long held the title of the highest-paid actress, commanding up to ₹10 crore per film. With over two decades in the industry and a consistent streak of successful films, her popularity and influence remain strong.
Now, reports suggest that Nayanthara has quoted a fee of ₹18 crore for her next project. While the production house is said to be negotiating the amount, this move could potentially place her among the top four highest-paid actresses in India.
Currently, Priyanka Chopra leads the list with a per-film fee reportedly reaching ₹30 crore, followed by Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut, both earning between ₹15 and ₹30 crore. If Nayanthara’s quoted fee is finalized, she would solidify her position just behind these leading Bollywood actresses, marking a significant milestone in her career.
Whether the production company agrees to her demand remains to be seen, but this bold move reflects her rising pan-Indian appeal and market value.
