Even before the official announcement of the Rajini-Ranjith film came news has been circulating that Nayanthara will be the leading lady in the project.

However the lady superstar has denied being approached for the role and the producer Kalaipuli Thanu has also confirmed the same. Thanu`s candid reply to further queries is to expect the unexpected with regards to the heroine of the project. That means it is going to be a casting that is going to take everyone by surprise.
