Actress Nayanthara, often referred to as the “Lady Superstar” of South Indian cinema, is reportedly in talks to receive a career-high salary for an upcoming Telugu film opposite megastar Chiranjeevi.

In the Tamil film industry, Nayanthara has long held the title of the highest-paid actress, commanding up to ?10 crore per film. With over two decades in the industry and a consistent streak of successful films, her popularity and influence remain strong.

Now, reports suggest that Nayanthara has quoted a fee of ?18 crore for her next project. While the production house is said to be negotiating the amount, this move could potentially place her among the top four highest-paid actresses in India.

Currently, Priyanka Chopra leads the list with a per-film fee reportedly reaching ?30 crore, followed by Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut, both earning between ?15 and ?30 crore. If Nayanthara’s quoted fee is finalized, she would solidify her position just behind these leading Bollywood actresses, marking a significant milestone in her career.
