Nayanthara's Comeback? Unconfirmed Reports Link Her to 'Jailer 2

Directed by Nelson and starring Rajinikanth, the film was released a few months ago, and Jailer has earned rave reviews and raked up a record Rs 600 crore worldwide.
In other developments, reports suggest that a sequel is in the offing very soon with another film titled Jailer 2. Juicy tidbits from the tinsel town say that after he completes his ongoing project being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Rajinikanth is all set to join the cast of Jailer 2..
Sources reveal that the sequel will delve further into Rajinikanth's character confronting idol smugglers to portray a compelling narrative of their complete dismantling. Add to that, there is also speculation that the film might feature characters from Nelson's earlier project Kolamavu Kokila, and the film is expected to be mainly a Nayanthara show. Such a report believes it is infusing more theories, stating Jailer 2 could as well be an extension of Nelson's cinematic universe.
While there is so much anticipation for the return of Rajinikanth in what has been a long-awaited sequel with old characters brought back and a continuation to the story, the fans will not be disappointed, as before lays an engaging sequel and one that can only be seen in Nelson's growing universe.
