Nenjirukkum Varai

Thursday, January 1, 1970 • Tamil Comments

Keeping in tune with the changing trends in Tamil film industry is director S A Chandrasekharan.

The veteran in the industry with a total of 63 films under his belt, Chandrasekharan is ready with a youthful entertainer in Nenjirukkum Varai.

The veteran director and father of actor Vijay, Chandrasekharan has handled the screenplay, while the story has been written by his wife Shoba, who is also a talented singer.

Popular Malayalam actor Naren plays the hero. This is his second film in Tamil, after the massive success of his first Tamil film Chithiram Pesudhadi.

Naren says, "I feel this film will take me to greater heights in my career. It was thrilling to work with an ace director like Chandrasekharan, who has introduced several actors and actresses to the Tamil film industry."

The director introduces a newcomer Deepa in the movie.

Outlining the story, the frank and out-spoken director says, "There is nothing new in the movie. It is a romantic entertainer laced with action. But the highlight would be the gripping sequence of events. With a young crew assisting me, I have succeeded in getting the right elements in the movie to attract the youngsters."

The movie has songs composed by Srikanth Deva.

Chandrasekharan says, "All the songs in my earlier movies have become big hits. Nenjirukkum Varai would be no different. Srikanth Deva, the young music-composer, has come out with a foot-tapping score. We have captured the songs well."

Also heaping laurels on the newcomer Deepa, the director adds, "She doesn't look like a debutant. She emotes well and should be a welcome addition to Tamil cinema."

With all works over, Nenjirukkum Varai would hit the screens this week-end.
