Suriya’s latest film, Retro, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, unfortunately failed to make a significant impact at the box office following its theatrical release on May 1, 2025. The movie stars Pooja Hegde in the lead female role and belongs to the gangster love drama genre.

Despite its lukewarm theater run, the film is generating buzz once again with news of its upcoming digital release. According to recent reports, Retro will premiere on Netflix starting June 5, 2025. It will be available in multiple languages, including Hindi. An official announcement confirming the OTT debut is expected shortly.

The ensemble cast also includes actors like Joju George, Vidhu, Jayaram, and Nassar in important roles. The film was produced by Suriya and Jyotika, alongside Kaarthekeyen Santhanam and Rajsekar Pandian. The music was composed by acclaimed musician Santhosh Narayanan.

Fans who missed the theatrical release now have a chance to catch the film on OTT and decide for themselves whether it’s worth the wait.
