Veteran filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao’s latest offering Sing Geetham has begun its theatrical journey on a highly positive note, earning widespread appreciation from audiences and critics alike. Adding to the buzz surrounding the film, Netflix has secured its digital streaming rights, underlining the strong confidence in the project even before its release.
Backed by producer Nag Ashwin and the prestigious Vyjayanthi Movies banner, Sing Geetham was one of the most anticipated content-driven films of the year. Industry circles reveal that the OTT deal was finalized well ahead of the theatrical release, with the film’s non-theatrical rights reportedly fetching close to ₹14 crore.
The film, which hit screens yesterday, has been receiving glowing reviews for its refreshing storytelling, emotional depth, and Singeetham Srinivasa Rao’s distinctive narrative style. Social media platforms have also been flooded with positive reactions, further strengthening the film’s word-of-mouth momentum.
Although the box-office numbers are yet to fully mirror the overwhelming appreciation the film has garnered, trade analysts believe Sing Geetham is the kind of film that grows steadily through audience recommendations. With strong word-of-mouth and encouraging reviews, the movie is expected to witness better traction over the weekend and in the coming days.
One of the notable aspects of Sing Geetham is its reliance on fresh talent. Featuring newcomers and emerging actors in key roles, the film has managed to strike a chord with viewers through its sincere performances and engaging storytelling.
The successful acquisition by Netflix is another significant milestone for the film, ensuring a wider reach after its theatrical run. With critical acclaim, audience appreciation, and a strong digital platform backing it, Sing Geetham appears well-positioned to extend its success beyond the big screen.
As the film continues its theatrical run, all eyes are now on how strongly it can convert its positive reception into box-office numbers in the days ahead.
