SS Rajamouli is one of the most celebrated and influential filmmakers of our country in current times. Known for his large scale spectacle movies, he works in Telugu cinema but he gained nationwide popularity after the success of 'Bahubali' franchise and he followed that up with last year's massive blockbuster 'RRR'.

Although he receives lots of appreciation from Bollywood fans as well, Rajamauli recently faced harsh backlash for demeaning Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan. Apparently an old video of him resurfaced in which he can seen stating that Hrithik is nothing compared to Prabhas.

He says, "When Dhoom 2 released in Hindi, I felt sad that why Bollywood is getting good quality film and I was sad that why don’t have heroes like Hrithik Roshan. But after watching the songs, posters, and trailers of Billa I want to say that Hrithik is nothing in front of Prabhas. Telugu cinema is producing better films than Bollywood and now we are equal to English Films.”

Aa soon as the video surfaced on Reddit, users slammed Rajamauli with harsh comments. A used wrote, "Rajamouli is not humble at all. He has a terrible temper and an acid tongue. He also looks down on Bollywood. Ironical, since Bollywood made him known a national face.”

“Did not expect this from him. Disappointing”, another user commented. Another one said, "Real colours of these so-called humble south personalities. Imagine the outrage if the reverse happened.” On top of that, some comments also called Rajamauli a disrespectful and arrogant person.
