New mould for Raj Kiran in Kireedom

Raj Kiran is known for his rough and tough villager roles. He was type cast as an actor who can only act in movies set in rural milieu.

Breaking the trend would be Kireedom.

In Kireedom, Raj Kiran plays Ajith's father. He is cast in the role of an upright police officer. In fact, he appears in t-shirts and jeans in the movie!

Raj Kiran is choosy about his roles and picks them with great caution.

Kireedom is a remake of the Malayalam blockbuster titled the same and Thilakan enacted the role being played by Raj Kiran in the Tamil version.

Raj Kiran is also awaiting the release of Muni. The movie, being produced by producer-director Saran, is directed by Ragava Larencce.
