New OTT releases include only one Tamil content among the lot!

The digital screens will welcome a bunch of new films and series this weekend. Among the lot, there is only one Tamil title to be premiered this week which coincidentally marks the OTT debut of the actors Atharvaa and Manikandan. Meanwhile, numerous fresh content from other languages is coming to the streaming services.

Mathagam (Tamil) on Dinsey+ Hotstar - A new crime thriller series which is OTT debut for actors Atharvaa and Manikandan. Directed by Prasath Murugesan of "Kidaari" and "Queen" fame, it chronicles a battle between a cop and a crime boss. It also stars Gautham Vasudev Menon, Nikhila Vimal, Divyadarshini, Ilavarasu, Vadivukarasi, Moonar Ramesh, and others. Releases on August 18.

Depp Vs Heard (English) on Netflix - A documentary show on the sensational trial between renowned actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard that set Hollywood ablaze. Debuted on August 16th.

Guns And Gulaabs (Hindi) on Netflix - Maverick director duo Raj & DK's new dark comedy thriller series starring Rajkummar Rao and Dulquer Salmaan. Set in the 90s world of crime and violence, it depicts the story of love and innocence blending with humour and romance. Streams on August 18.

The Pope's Exorcist (English) on Netflix - A supernatural horror film based on the 1990 book 'An Exorcist Tells His Story' and the 1992 book 'An Exorcist: More Stories'. Starring Russell Crowe with Daniel Zovatto, Alex Essoe and Franco Nero, it premiered on August 16.

Amala (Malayalam) on PrimeVideo/Manorama Max - A murder mystery thriller starring Anarkali Marikar, Rajisha Vijayan and Srikanth in the lead roles. Debuted on August 15.

O Saathiya (Telugu) on Prime Video - Director Divya Bhavana's comedy flick starring Aryan Gowra and Mishti Chakravarty. Released on August 16.

Chatrapathi (Hindi) on Zee5 - Tollywood hero Bellamkonda Sreenivas made his Bollywood debut with the remake of the masala film Chatrapathi. Directed by VV Vinayak, it comes to Zee5 on August 18.

Annapurna Photo Studio (Telugu) on Etv Win - Chaitanya Rao Madadi and Lavanya Sahukara starrer rural comedy. It premiered on August 15.

Aayirathonnu Nunakal (Malayalam) on Sony Liv - A mystery thriller that revolves around a truth or dare game between a group of friends. The Thamar directorial releases on August 18.

Taali S1 (Hindi) on Jio Cinema - A biopic series starring Sushmita Sen in the lead role as the Transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant. the 6-episode show was released on August 15.

Fuh Se Fantasy S2 (Hindi) on Jio Cinema - This romance drama television series is entering its second season with more exploration of the wild and saucy side of what happens behind the bedroom. The new season's first episode debuted on August 17 and further episodes will be dropped regularly.

The Chosen One (Spanish) on Netflix - A fantasy series based on the comic book series 'American Jesus' and follows a boy who discovers he has the abilities of Jesus Christ, and is destined to confront the Antichrist. Streamed on August 16.

Mask Girl (Korean) on Netflix - A live-action series based on the South Korean digital comic of the same name. It is scheduled for release on August 18.

Avakasikal (Malayalam) on IStream - A film that delves into the complexities of Indian societal dynamics, vividly portrayed through the lens of rural communities in Assam and Kerala. Set against the backdrop of a village, the film unveils the intricate tapestry of national politics. It releases on August 17.

AP Dhillon First Of A Kind (Hindi) on Prime Video - A documentary series based on the life of Punjabi-Canadian rapper AP Dhillon. The show tracks his remarkable journey from a small village in Punjab to Canada where he has become a renowned global music sensation. It will be available on August 18.
