'Newton' beats 'Baahubali-2' with AFAA nominations

'Baahubali-The Conclusion' has been nominated in relatively less important categories compared to the Hindi-language satirical drama 'Newton' at the 2018 Asian Film Awards.

The Rajamouli magnum opus has won nominations in the Best Visual Effects and Best Costume Design (Raja Rajamouli and Prashanti Tipirneni) categories. On the other hand, 'Newton' has got nominations in the Best Best Movie, Best Actor (Rajkumar Rao), and Best Screenplay (Tewari & Amit Masurkar) categories.

This Republic Day, Rajamouli and Shobu Yarlagadda will be discussing the "challenges in making a film of epic proportions" with Professor Arvind Sahay at IIM-A.
