NGK closing BO: A disaster in Telugu

'NGK', the Suriya-starrer, released on May 31. Directed by Selvaraghavan, the political drama featured Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh as the heroines.

The closing box-office figures of the entertainer are highly discouraging. 'NGK' earned a share of Rs 3.80 Cr in the Telugu States, posting a loss of more than Rs 5.20 Cr. It was a well-rounded disaster, which nobody expected to happen. 'Falaknuma Das' did affect its collections in Nizam.

It's now up to Suriya to do something substantial to boost his sagging image in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. 'NGK' being a strongly native film, the audience couldn't connect to it.
