Actor Jiiva's 'Kavalai Vendam' directed by Deekay of 'Yaamirukka Bayamey' has faced many delays in shooting. Actress Keerthy Suresh was initially roped in to play the lead heroine in this flick but the 'Rajinimurugan' girl opted out of the project after the initial photo shoot which was released. Keerthy was later replaced by Kajal Aggarwal.

Now actress Nikki Galrani who was cast in another important role in the film has also opted out of the project sighting date clash with other projects in hand..

Nikki has, however regretted losing the offer to star in 'Kavalai Vendam' which she felt as a novel script and had a good role for her. The 'Darling' actress is presently shooting for 'Motta Siva Ketta Siva' with Raghava Lawrence.

A few days back the film's director Deekay had tweeted that he wanted to quit film industry. It was rumored that this was due to excessive delays completing the shot of the film. However, Deekay later clarified that the tweet was out of frustration caused by his mother's prolonged illness and does not have anything to do with 'Kavalai Vendam' or its producer Elred Kumar of RS Infotainment.

Deekay's debut film is the super hit horror comedy 'Yaamirukka Bayame' produced under the same banner.
