As anticipated by many in the industry, Vijay Deverakonda’s much-talked-about film Kingdom, produced by Naga Vamsi, has been postponed yet again. This marks the third time the film’s release has been delayed. Naga Vamsi, who has earned a reputation for frequent release reshuffles, continues the trend, causing a domino effect on other film schedules.
With Kingdom stepping aside, Nithiin’s upcoming emotional drama Thammudu will now take its place in the release calendar. Initially slated for release on July 4, Thammudu was briefly put on hold by producer Dil Raju when Kingdom booked the same date. However, with the date now vacated, Thammudu is confirmed to hit theatres as planned.
Directed by Venu Sriram, known for his successful outing Vakeel Saab, Thammudu is centered around a heartwarming brother-sister relationship. Actress Laya plays Nithiin’s sister in the film, bringing emotional depth to the storyline. The film also marks the Telugu debut of Saptami Gowda, who gained wide recognition for her role in the Kannada blockbuster Kantara. She stars as the female lead opposite Nithiin.
For Nithiin, Thammudu is a significant release. The actor has been struggling to find box office success in recent years, and this film is seen as an opportunity to bounce back. With a strong emotional core, a seasoned director, and no major competition on release day, Thammudu could provide the career boost Nithiin needs.
With Thammudu now confirmed for a solo release on July 4, the spotlight shifts to Nithiin, as audiences look forward to a heartfelt story hitting the big screen.
