Nithya Menen to do guest role in Sid's next

She was to do the role that eventually went to Shruthi Hassan in Oh My Friend. Since Siddharth insisted on his friend, Nithya Menen walked out gracefully. The 180 pair are going to share screen space, albeit for a few minutes, in Nandini Reddy's next.

The film has Samantha playing the female lead. The Ala Modalaindi director, it is learnt, has offered a blink-your-eye-and-you-will-miss-it role in her untitled project. Remember it was Nandini who turned Nithya's fortunes with that romantic comedy. One wonders if the director is seeing Nithya as a lucky mascot.

Despite a super hit in the form of Ishq, the actress is not in demand like a Samantha. The good part is that good directors have never abandoned her. Her next is with Cheran, JK Ennum Nanbanin Vazhkai, which stars our own Sharwanand in the main lead's role.
