Nivin Pauly not to act in Mani Ratnam film

When talks of Mani Ratnam doing a film with Dulquer Salman, Alia Bhat and Nivin Pauly emerged there were strong buzz in the media that he film will be a remake of the director's 1986 classic Mouna Ragam'. Stories about the possibility of the remake emerged even as the director was just in talks with the lead actors and nothing was confirmed about the project.
Now sources close to the veteran director have ruled out Nivin Pauly acting in the film. The source also revealed that a director will soon make an official announcement about the project along with the cast and crew details. By that time we will also get to know whether it will be the remake of Mouna Ragam'.
As of now we can be assured that the film will have music by A.R.Rahman and veteran cinematographer P.C.Sreeram will join hands with Mani Ratnam after a long gap of 14 years for this project.
