No Entry for 'Mary Kom' in Manipur!

It`s quite a tragedy that a movie which depicts the illustrious life of Mary Kom may not release in her home state, Manipur. Actually, since 2000 there has been a ban on the release of Hindi Movies and Hindi TV shows in Manipur. This ban was imposed by a separatist group Revolutionary Peoples Front`, who wish to make Manipur an independent socialist state.

However the team behind the movie 'Mary Kom' is trying their best to get the film released in the state. Mary Kom and her family are too upset about this fact...Not only this, there are also reports that indicate that Manipuris are not quite happy with Priyanka Chopra playing Mary`s role. As, they would have preferred a North Eastern as Mary Kom...

Well, we`ll keep you posted on whether the ban will be lifted or not..
