All troubles seem to be over for Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi.

This hilarious entertainer is the home production of director Shankar with Vadivelu playing the lead role and debutant Simbhudevan wielding the megaphone.

The use of few horses in this historical film came in as a hitch for the producer and the director since the Censor Board wanted them to obtain a no objection certificate from the Animal Welfare Board of India that the animals used in the films had all been treated in a humane manner.

This created a lot of confusion halting the plans of director Shankar to release the movie as scheduled on 19 May.

After trying his best, Shankar entrusted the job of getting the movie cleared and release it at the earliest to his team, as he went to Spain to shoot a song sequence for his Sivaji featuring Rajinikanth and Shreya.

According to sources close to Shankar, the much-awaited no objection certificate has been now obtained. If things go as per plans, Imsai Arasan would hit the screens on 9 June.

Expectations are high among film-buffs on Imsai Arasan, which has made a good business already. Let's hope the movie lives up to expectations.
