Nothing matters more than a great film - Karan Johar on 'Pathaan'

The massive box office collection of Shahrukh Khan's comeback project 'Pathaan' is a good news for the Bollywood as a whole and several actors and filmmakers have expressed their delight over this film's success. Shahrukh Khan's frequent collaborator Karan Johar recently took to his Instagram stories to share how 'Pathaan' has overcome all the myths surrounding Bollywood is last couple years.
Sharing a poster of 'Pathaan', the filmmaker wrote, Nothing matters more than a great film. The mega-blockbuster success proves that excessive promotions, fear of trolling, boycott threats, just about all the myths, that we as an industry propagate or believe in is redundant when a film like Pathaan kills all of it.â
He added, Old school conviction and a kick ass trailer is what we all need! So thrilled for Adi, Sid bhai, bhaijaan, John, DP! Rooting for you till we reach that magic number!!!!â
Director Siddharth Anand, who saw this film as huge responsibility is currently enjoying its success. He said, Scripting history. Everyone wants it, but one canât plan it. It just happens. And when it does, itâs actually a very humbling experience. Iâm feeling incredibly overwhelmed right now and inspired to get back on the film set and try and create something really special for audiences again. Thatâs my state of mind.â
