Actor Kamal Haasan has been facing severe criticisms from Tamil Nadu Ministers for his bold comments criticizing the Government and the allegedly rampant corruption in the state.

The latest addition is minister C.V.Shanmugam who, has spoken very strongly against the actor and this time it is for the Big Boss Reality show , he has been hosting since June 25th.

Kamal has been getting severe backlashes from various groups and individuals for Big Boss. Especially when the actress and dance choreographer Gayathri Raghuram who is one of the inmates of the Big Boss house uttered the word "Cheri behavior" and it was aired on the show, that has become a controversy. Cases have been filed against the show and people and activists are criticizing Kamal for this comment which is seen as a casteist slur.

Now Minister C.V.Shanmugam has said that Kamal will do anything for money and hence he does not have any rights to criticise the Government. The minister further demanded that the Ulaganayagan booked under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act for the "Cheri behavior" comment which according to the minister, amounts to insulting the Dalit community. The minister is of the view that Kamal is the mastermind of the Big Boss show and hence the legal action should be taken against him.
