'NTR: Kathanayakudu': Day 1 share suggests something

'NTR: Kathanayakudu', released on Wednesday, has reportedly earned a distributor share of Rs 7 Cr in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The film was expected to cross Rs 10 Cr, given that it's the first of the Sankranthi releases. The overseas figures are very good for a Balakrishna movie.
The biopic faces real competition starting from tomorrow. The release of Ram Charan's 'Vinaya Vidheya Rama' on Friday and Venkatesh's 'F2' on Saturday will be its litmus test.
The Krish-directed biopic, made prestigiously to tell the story of NT Rama Rao, had surprised trade pundits with its phenomenal pre-release business, especially in Overseas. Given the scale of pre-release business, the film should have crossed the share of 'Gautamiputra Satakarni'.
