Official: Aravind Swamy to play MGR

'Roja' and 'Bombay' actor Aravind Swamy will be essaying the role of the legendary Tamil thespian and former Tamil Nadu chief minister MG Ramachandran in Kangana Ranaut's biopic on J Jayalalitha. MGR was Jaya's political mentor.

Directed by AL Vijay, the film will be shot from November. As is known, it has been written by 'Baahubali' and 'RRR' writer Vijayendra Prasad.

To be made in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, it's jointly produced by Vishnu Induri and Shailesh Singh.

GV Prakash Kumar will compose the music. Nirav Shah will be the cinematographer of this 2020 release.
