Oh My God 2 producer dismisses rumors about Covid-19 cases on set

Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam starrer social comedy 'Oh My God 2' went on floor in September. Recently it was reported that filming of the project is on halt after about half a dozen crew members tested positive for Covid-19. However, it turned out to be a case of misinformation as producer Ashwin Varde released a statement and shared the truth about the situation.

He said that only three people were infected and were immediately quarantined and the incident happened 10 days ago.
His statement read, "The report that says seven people were tested COVID positive on our sets is wrong. Three members of the crew were diagnosed COVID positive ten days back. They were quarantined immediately. As of today, they are well on their way to recovery. We are in touch with the BMC officials and keeping them duly posted on the health of these three crew members."

'Oh My God 2' is the sequel of Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal starrer 2013 film 'Oh My God'. Akshay Kumar will reprise his role from the first film while Paresh Rawal has been replaced by Pankaj Tripathi.
